Fay Roach, Jewellery Specialist at Cheffins has given us her top lots for the upcoming auction on the 21st August. She says, 'with so many wonderful pieces available, it was tricky to come up with just a handful of favourites. We've got over 450 lots in total throughout the sale, and some really stunning jewellery at a good range of prices and eras. In this sale, there is something for everyone.' 

 

Lot 8

Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. - An 18ct gold scarf necklace,

Estimate £4,000-£6,000

"A very collectable piece by Tiffany & Co., originally designed by Elsa Peretti in the 1970s during the heady days of Studio 54, Halston, Liza Minelli and...disco!"

 

Lot 201

An early 20th century diamond set rose brooch,

Estimate £2,000-£4,000

"This brooch is of the same style as the Van Cleef and Arpels rose brooch owned by Marlene Dietrich and sold at Sotheby’s in 2015. Marlene Dietrich, a legendary actress and singer, who evokes a bygone era of glamour and sophistication, just like this brooch."

 

Lot 209

An Asscher cut diamond ring,

Estimate £5,000-£7,000

"The Asscher cut diamond was invented in 1902 by Joseph Asscher of the Asscher Diamond Company. It was the first diamond cut to be patented, offering exclusive production rights to the Asscher company until World War II. The cut gained popularity during the Art Deco period for its clean lines."

 

Lot 209B

A diamond riviere necklace,

Estimate £10,000-£15,000

"The "river" of diamonds, often graduated in size, creates a striking and sophisticated look that remains fashionable across eras. Antique necklaces in good condition are particularly popular due to their timeless elegance and historical significance."
