Lot 173 - A Georgian lover's eye brooch, estimate £500-£700

This unique style of jewellery was popular in the late 18th and 19th centuries and was used as a form of secret communication between lovers to secretly declare their affections for one another, very romantic!

Lot 140 - a Belle Epoque aquamarine and diamond pendant/brooch, estimate £3,000-£5,000

The Belle Epoque (1890-1915) period was given the title of the ‘Beautiful Era’, which meant jewellery designs were characterised by opulent designs and set with diamonds and gemstones. Aquamarine has also been in high in demand, so with both things combined, this piece is super desirable.

Lot 183 - an early 20th century Burmese ruby and diamond cluster ring, estimate £1,500-£2,500

This is a perfect example of a Burmese ruby, it’s bright, lively and has the intense red colour you would expect, plus the design is typical of the early 20th century fashion.

Lot 198 - an Art Deco diamond set giardinetti brooch, estimate £1,000-£2,000

This is typically of its time, from the geometric style vase, the use of different gemstones and the realistic looking delicate flowers, it has everything you would want in an Art Deco brooch.

Lot 194 - a natural saltwater pearl necklace, estimate £3,000-£5,000

Natural saltwater pearls are always desirable because of their rarity, and this one is a particularly nice example, with accompanying report from the Gem and Pearl Laboratory.

Lot 199 - a black opal and diamond necklace, estimate £3,000-£5,000

This necklace is a great example of two black opals, that both have striking play of colour against their natural dark background. Black opals are very popular, because they’re considered to be the rarest and most valuable type of the stone.

Lot 203 - a diamond solitaire ring, estimate £5,000-£7,000

The diamond solitaire ring never goes out of fashion, and this is a great modern example, with a central round brilliant cut that has an estimated weight of 2.20ct, a great size!
