Cheffins has joined forces with the clinical team at Addenbrooke’s Hospital to mark the upcoming Jewellery, Silver & Watches Sale, taking place on 21st August.

In a celebration of community collaboration, members of Addenbrooke’s clinical staff and representatives from Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) visited Cheffins to model a selection of the 460 lots of antique and contemporary jewellery and watches that will feature in the sale. Among the guests was ACT CEO, Shelly Thake, who also contributed a foreword to the printed catalogue.

Georgia Slade, Mental Health Specialist Nurse at Addenbrooke's Hospital

This initiative is part of a wider partnership between Cheffins and ACT to raise funds for a new playroom at the Cambridge Children’s Hospital, currently under development. The project forms part of Cheffins’ wider community commitment during its 200th anniversary year, with a focus on supporting key services across the region.

Fay Roach, Jewellery Specialist at Cheffins comments: “We were delighted to welcome staff from the hospital and from ACT to Cheffins. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day where we had the chance to showcase some of the wonderful jewellery and watches which will be available at the auction later this month and the volunteers did a great job of modelling these pieces for our catalogue. We are hugely thankful to the volunteers for taking time to join us at Cheffins. As a firm we are thrilled to be working closely with the ACT team to provide funding for this new playroom, which will really make a difference to children undergoing treatment at the hospital.”
