Condition Report

The painting is executed in oil on a canvas support which has been wax lined. The lining has preserved the areas of impasto in the landscape well. The canvas is in plane and the tension is stiff. The appearance of the painting is slightly ‘grubby’ with spots and accretions across the surface and thin layer of varnish which appears to have slightly yellowed. The surface of the picture is matte.
