Condition Report

The painting is executed in oil on a wooden panel support formed from a single board with the woodgrain running horizontally. The panel is flat and the paint layers are in a good condition overall. There is a network of age cracks across the paint surface which are stable. A few small losses are present in the paint layer. Small areas of overpaint are well matched to the original. The varnish is slightly yellowed and matte, but even and has become abraded around the edges due to poor fitting in the frame.
