circa 1928, the cream coloured dial, 38mm diameter, with black Arabic numerals, blued cathedral hands, subsidiary seconds register at 6 o'clock and chemin de fer chapter ring, 17 jewel mechanical crown wind movement with domed winder, case, 44mm diameter, foliate upper and lower bezels, front and back of bow and crown guards decorated with blue and white enamel, verso hinged at 6 o'clock, brushed finish with foliate upper accents and blue and white enamel detailing, interior numbered 57925, with Glasgow import hallmarks for 18ct gold and sponsor's mark of James Weir, together with Poinçon de Maître: Hammer With Handle number 102 for Amez-Droz & Cie., 50.5g gross
