The inscription to the reverse reads: "The Crucifixion on the other side / is the work of David Jones, / done at Caldey. This suggests a date of around 1925-1926 when Jones was known to have visited Capel-y-finn on Caldey Island for an extended visit.

Condition Report
The ink to the text has faded. Damage to the corners. A one inch tear to the bottom centre and losses to the left margin. A few surface abrasions to the paper. Possibly a watermark below the arm of Jesus.
