An antique diamond crescent and opal shamrock brooch

Condition Report

All the stones are present and secure. As is typical with old cut diamonds many are off round and have little chips and nicks, but none of the stones show catastrophic damage and no damage is visible to the naked eye. The three opals are a little rubbed and have tiny pinhead surface marks, but are bright and lively with a good play of colour

The mount is in good condition with no obvious sign of damage or repair and just some light surface scratching as to be expected.. The pin is fully functional and the hinge does not appear strained. The revolver catch is in full working order. The mount is unhallmarked.
