Note: Winston Churchill employed Philip Tilden in the 1920s as chief architect for the renovation of Chartwell in Kent, Churchill's weekend residence. He designed this table for the house with Ambrose Heal which then became a standard table '148' in the Heals' range.
Condition Report
Some scuff marks, surface scratches and ink stains generally.
The top - surface generally uneven in tone where the varnish has been worn away, there has been water damage and a scortch mark (see images). Some easing to the plank top, which now has small gaps visible between (less than 1mm) the planks at the outer edges.
Base is generally in good condition with even tone
