Condition Report

Oil on canvas. The support and paint layer are in a good condition overall. The painting has a thin layer of varnish which is slightly yellowed where it has collected in the thicker brushstrokes but is generally even and glossy. In the darker paint passages white efflorescence has developed on the surface which could be removed through cleaning. The frame is glazed and the glass is dirty with fly spots etc. The frame has been painted brown and has a wooden backboard.
