A cultured pearl and diamond cluster ring

set with a 7.3mm bouton pearl in a close petal edge border of old round and cushion cut diamonds, further old cut diamonds on the tapered shoulders, plain shank size M, white on yellow metal tests for 18ct gold, total estimated weight of diamonds approximately 0.80cts

The diamonds are small but lively, not especially white, so their colour complements the pearl well. The pearl has eye visible pocking around the sides but it's not obvious from the top; the lustre is pleasing but not deep, and a little uneven. The ring itself is in sound condition, with light wear and tear appropriate to age; the shank has been re-sized.
