of subtle jade colour, the central carved flower within an X-leaf repeat cavetto and foliate carved borders, thunder pattern rim, further decorated and petal carved to the underside

Holtwood collection, and thence by family descent to the present owner

Holtwood was the name of a farm in Dorset, where the family collected oriental art mainly in the 1960s and 1970s.

a few slight glaze scratches, burst kiln bubbles....otherwise in very good condition
