Condition Report

Canvas tension is quite loose. There is a possible area of paint loss in the hair, but this may be intrinsic to the work, as there are several other areas on the canvas where the artist appears to have deliberately scraped the surface to reveal the paint beneath. There are networks of fine cracks to the paint surface throughout, but the paint layer appears stable overall.
