A George III Madeira decanter, circa 1760-1775

of mallet shape, engraved with a faux hanging wine label with fruiting vines below, faceted stopper, 28cm high; another similar for 'Beer', 30.5cm high; another similar, plain, with pear shape stopper enclosing air bubbles, 26.5cm high

Condition Report

plain: star crack in shoulder wall, small chip on basal rim. Heavy wear on the base. stopper good - bit nibbled on the basal rim.

Madeira:stopper - several bruises/tiny chips on the angles, wear on base.

Beer: stopper has large flake off tip area, also grazing/small chips. tiny chip on inner rim. slight misty/glass sickness in the basal area internally.
