London 2010, the shaft engraved COURT AND LADIES DINNER JULY 2010, 17cm long, 1.6ozt
Graham Leishman Stewart (1955 - 2020) was one of Scotland's foremost late 20th and 21st century goldsmiths and silversmiths. Stewart established his workshop in Dunblane in 1978 and produced his work using traditional techniques such as raising, cold forging, chasing and planishing. His creations were sculptural and clean and drew inspiration from nature. Arguably, he was the creator of one of the most viewed pieces of modern silver in the UK - his sculpture, ‘Three Honours’ - which is on display in the main hall of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh.
