‘Old English’ pattern, crested, comprising 5 table forks (mark of George Smith III and William Fearn, London 1791), 8 tablespoons (mark of William Chawner, London 1819), 11 dessert forks (8 x mark of Richard Crossley, London 1810, 3 x mark of William Chawner, London 1817), 8 dessert spoons, (mark of Richard Crossley, London 1810), 2 x basting spoons (1 x mark of William Chawner, London 1821, 1 x mark of Richard Crossley and George Smith IV, London 1809), a pair of salad servers (mark of Richard Crossley, London 1810) and a straining spoon, (mark of Richard Crossley, London 1799), 2185g (70ozt) gross, along with 14 table knives, 13 dessert knives, a carving fork and a carving knife, all with filled handles and steel blades, many crested to match, mark of Susanna Peppin, London 1837 and a further 7 table knives (73)
