Condition Report

Oil on board. The board is attached to a wooden frame on the reverse with nails, some of the nails are now visible in the paint surface. The paint layer is in a good condition overall. There is some dust collected on the surface. White spots around the right hand of the sitter's head appears to be mould or accretions rather than part of the original paint layer. The frame has a white painted surface which is grubby in appearance.
