Cartier - A gentleman's vermeil 'must de Cartier' wristwatch

c1980, model 'Vendome', the signed cream textured dial, 26mm in diameter, with black Arabic numerals, blue sword shaped hands and chemin de fer chapter ring, signed but unnumbered 7 jewel quartz movement, crown with synthetic sapphire cabochon end stone, verso with two screws, signed and numbered 009880 / 590003, with Swiss and convention marks for Sterling silver, to an aftermarket padded leather strap with pin buckle

Condition Report

Crystal: Complete and undamaged with just some light surface scratching

Dial: Spotted all over, noticeable towards the bottom, but visible all over under magnification. Dial a little off centre. Hands in good condition

Movement: Not currently in working order but as it is a quartz movement it may just need the battery replacing, which has not been tested. Stem engages and disengages as it should and the hands move freely in both directions.

Case: Verso considerable wear to the gold plating. Bezel with some light surface scratching, minor dents as to be expected.

Strap: A recent aftermarket replacement with minor wear.
