Alexis Barthelay - A unisex 18ct gold wristwatch

the circular signed white dial with black Roman numerals, gold coloured hands and date window at three o'clock, the six jewel quartz ETA movement number 255 441, serial number 40 67 756 on an integral hexagonal shaped brick link bracelet with deployant clasp, French marks for 18ct gold; complete with original box and spare link, gross weight 77.8g


Other notes: Alexis Barthelay founded his eponymous brand in the 1930s in the Place Vendôme in Paris. With the advent of quartz movements, Barthelay focused on ultra-thin watches. In 2005, Maison Barthelay became part of the Franck Muller Group.

Condition Report

Bracelet - overall length apx 185mm - spare link enclosed of apx 10mm - features a concealed deployant clasp. Both bracelet and clasp in good condition with only very minor scuffing. Clasp opens and closes well.Case - In good condition with only minor scuffing. No obvious damage or repair.Dial - In good condition. No obvious damage. 30mm diameter.Movement - Crown pulls out and returns well, hands move freely in both directions and date turns over as it should. Quartz movement battery powered currently in working order, though has not been checked for timekeeping.
