Condition Report
The painting is executed in oil on a canvas support which has been lined. Lining has secured an old tear present in the area at the top of the hill. The canvas tension is good and the picture is in plane. The paint layer is stable, secure and in a good condition overall. The area of the tear is well repaired and barely visible in the surface texture. The overpaint in this area is well matched, there are a few other localised areas of overpaint, mainly in the sky. The varnish is semi-glossy, even and slightly yellowed but acceptable.
