Our auctioneers live and breathe the specialist departments in which we operate. As well as traditional fine art for sale, our auction block sees watches, jewellery, 20th-century design, Asian antiques, furniture, and wine find new homes every year. We regularly achieve a sale rate of over 90%, and sellers come to Cheffins because they know our expertise is recognised throughout the industry.
Knowing the accurate value of your items is vital when engaging with fine art sales. We work with sellers to appraise every item that crosses our auction block, and offer a range of valuation services to suit your needs. Whether you’d like a quick online valuation or would like to attend one of our dedicated valuation days, there are many ways to receive your appraisal with minimal fuss.
We’re keen to match buyers and sellers before auctions even take place, reducing the time it takes to complete a transaction. This is achieved through a number of proven marketing routes, including industry-leading printed catalogues of upcoming auction lots, and a global database of qualified buyers for each specialism.
