Condition Report

The painting is executed in oil on a canvas support which is unlined. The canvas tension is slack but the picture is in plane. The paint layers are in a good condition overall with a few localised areas of cracking. In the darker paint passages there are localised areas of overpaint which are well matched to the original. The varnish is semi-matte and even.
