London 15 November 1935, serial number 10/R 09042, creases and stains, small tears
The vendor tells us: "This belonged to Lady Peggy Hoare, (nee Coventry), it was in an envelope having been unopened since her mother, Virginia Viscountess Deerhurst, died. This thought was based on the fact that the key was sealed in an envelope marked Viscountess Deerhurst.
Following the death of her husband, Viscountess Deerhurst was short of money, and funds were occasionally sent over in the form of large bank notes from her half cousins, the Carvers, who were ship builders in the USA. Her half sister, Louise Bonynge, had married Maxwell Carver."
